SUFFOLK GETAWAY

The downside of have attended a boarding school is that all of my closest friends live so far away from me, so when we all come together its the best! I spent five days away and we 'road tripped' to different places, taking advantage of my friend being newly passed and the rest of us still learner drivers!

One of my favourite places that we visited was Felixstowe, luckily the two days we spent there was on the nicest weekend, the rest of the time it rained in typical English style *boo*. Here we went crabbing and to the pier and did all of the wonderful 'English' beach type activities. Can I just say that we are ACE on the slot machines, coming home with Australian cork hats, Dinosaur rings and all other sorts of necessities.

SUNDAY EXPLORING

COAT Forever 21 // TOP Topshop // SHORTS Levis // BAG Charity Shop // SHOES Birkenstocks

Last Sunday I visited Winchester, which is one of my favourite places to go and fortunately is only a short car journey away from where I live. I love this old city with all its cobbled streets and little cafés. It is also home to my favourite shop- 'The Hambledon', an independent store full of interior and stationery amazingness.

I kept my outfit simplistic, which I've been much preferring to do recently. My coat is a new purchase which I absolutely adore, from Forever 21 and is £26 (only £23.40 with student discount *woo*). I've been looking for something of its kind for ages as I only had thick winter coats and nothing in-between.

My bag is also a favourite of mine- only £2.80 from a charity shop! It also forces me to not bring around random crap, as limits to only a purse and my phone.

*on a sidenote its results day tomorrow and I'm bricking it*

FIVE-YEAR-OLD FEELS

SHIRT Urban Outfitters (a while ago) // DUNGAREES Asos // TOTE Hello Harriet // SHOES Superga

After weeks of lusting after a pair of dungarees, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a pair- even if I do feel mildly like a five year old going on a play date... but I kinda dig this look.

It took multiple outfit changes and constant checking out the window to decide what to pair with them due to the annoyingly indecisive English weather. So eventually I decided on a sheer shirt, which I got a few years back in the Urban Outfitters sale and I still love it to this day! My Supergas were another bargain, purchased last year for about $30 in a Steve Madden outlet shop. Recently I have been much preferring to carrying a canvas tote to a more structured bag; my sassy cat tote is a new favourite recently bought from the Etsy shop Hello Harriet,  I'm definitely more of a dog person but I absolutely love this bag!

P.S shoutout to my lovely friend Hannah for taking the photos !

HOLIDAY BLUES

This year, sadly, I haven't been able to get away (due to my own laziness) but hey I can still be sad about it! So, sat here on a gloomy day in England I am reminiscing on how last year I was lucky enough to go on two holidays, so I thought I would share some of the photos from them.

After finishing my GCSEs, I went on a school trip for a 2 1/2 week tour around the South of America. I can honestly say that the America trip was the best holiday/ adventure I've had in my life reflecting back on it. It was a fast paced tour starting at Atlanta and finishing in Miami, doing things that have been on my bucket list; like going to my first ever baseball game and of course getting a foam finger, spending the evening at a cowboy ranch and seeing glow flies (as well as the obligatory Disney and Universal days which cannot be missed out). Travelling on a coach with a group of some of my closest friends was amazing and will be remembered forever (cringe but true).

After getting back I was then lucky enough to join onto my parents' planned holiday to Dubai, although not realising how hot it was actually going to be in August (I'm a typical English person who cannot take the heat). So walking around in the 40'c + heat did bring out a lot of complaining in me. I never actually realised that Dubai is basically a huge city built in the desert, so when waking up the next day after a night flight this did give me a shock!

We spent most of the time experiencing all that Dubai had to offer instead of sunbathing for the whole time because it was simply too hot! Going up the Burj Khalifa was an experience, even going up the lift gave me butterflies! The view from up high was immense and we stayed up there for 2 hours waiting for my Dad to get the perfect picture of the sun going down...

Sorry for the long, rambly post- I guess I just really want to go on holiday! I promise the next one won't be as lengthy, and if you've made it to the end- I congratulate you!
